How long have you been in business?
We have owned Chalquest Kennels since 2002.
What is your primary product or service?
Dog Boarding. Nightly rate includes indoor/outdoor runs; one on one time in the playyard several times a day; and bath/comb out prior to going home (2 night visit or longer)... We offer multiple pet, senior (65+), and Active military discounts
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Russ and Lynne retired from careers in the guide dog training field (in California and New York) and moved to Virginia to become boarding kennel owners. Both of us have a lifelong love for dogs and have been lucky enough to spend our careers working with and enjoying dogs. Chalquest Kennels LLC provides us the opportunity to share our passion with our canine clients and their owners...
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
At Chalquest Kennels- we focus on insuring each dog is treated as an individual. Our play times are done one on one- so each pup gets individual attention and time to do what he enjoys most- whether a game of ball and tug in the large field; time sniffing and exploring the yard, or lap time in the office- We aim for each canine guest to enjoy himself as much as we enjoy each of our guests.

Exit 8A Hillcrest Parkway W off the 168 South Expressway. Right on Hillcrest Parkway. Left on Edinburgh Parkway to end. Right on St Brides Rd W. Chalquest Kennels located approx. 1/2 mile on left. Driveway marked with grey wooden fence and decorative flag. Drive to end of driveway to 2 story building (kennel office). Parking available in lot by kennel office.

Which areas do you service?
We welcome dogs from all areas- Many of our guests come from Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Newport News, Suffolk and surrounding communities. We also have many clients from North Carolina- Moyock, Elizabeth City, etc...

Russell & Lynne Post- Owners, managers, and all daily operations
What are your hours of operation?
8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Daily
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
The best compliments we have is when our returning canine guests come back for another visit with a smile and a wagging tail!!
